A bottle of wine made from recycled cardboard is the new launch of the industry aiming to benefit the environment. The British packaging company Frugalpac announced the product that has a biodegradable plastic coating, intended for wines and spirits.
And it released that the bottle is five times lighter for transportation, with a carbon footprint in manufacturing, use, transportation, and disposal up to 84% smaller than a glass bottle. Its manufacturing process also consumes less water, and it is easier to separate paper and plastic for recycling, says Frugalpac.

The first wine sold in the Frugal bottle is 3Q, from the Italian winery Cantina Goccia, from Umbria, a Sangiovese red.
