Castillo de Monjardin está localizado no noroeste de Navarra, no sopé dos Pirinéus, no norte da Espanha, não muito longe da fronteira francesa. Originalmente, o Castelo de Monjardin foi muito importante para o Reino de Navarra durante o século VIII. Hoje em dia, é historicamente conhecido por causa da peregrinação do Caminho de Santiago.
Denominação de Origem Navarra como condições climáticas únicas influenciadas pela costa atlântica e a alta altitude das montanhas dos Pirenéus. É conhecida pelas fantásticas Garnachas e Tempranillos que são frescas e vibrantes com paladares delicados e elegantes. Além disso, devido à sua proximidade e ligações culturais com a França, existem uvas Chardonnay, Cabernet Sauvignon e Merlot que se distinguem do resto da Espanha.
A nossa Propriedade Familiar tem um total de 260 Ha. de vinhas com idade entre 15, 31 e 75 anos. Durante os últimos 35 anos, fomos premiados com mais de 100 Medalhas e publicações. Os vinhedos de Monjardín ficam em encostas ensolaradas a uma altitude média de 1800 pés, e são resfriados pelo vento “”Cierzo””.
Nossa filosofia: As habilidades de vinificação do proprietário e enólogo Victor Del Villar produzem vinhos de aroma singularmente intenso, sabor pleno e estrutura firme. Todos os vinhos são elaborados com uvas das vinhas da nossa Quinta; a fermentação é controlada e os vinhos são envelhecidos em carvalho francês e americano. Castillo de Monjardin is located in the northwest of Navarra in the foothills of the Pyrenees, in the very North of Spain not far from the French border. Originally, the Castle of Monjardin was very important for the Kingdom of Navarra during the VIII century. Nowadays, it’s historically known because of the St James Way pilgrimage.
Navarra Denomination of Origin as unique climate conditions influenced by the Atlantic Coast and the high altitude of the Pyrenees Mountains. It is known for fantastic Garnachas and Tempranillos that are fresh and vibrant with delicate and elegant palates. Also, because of its proximity and cultural links to France there are Chardonnay, Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot grapes that distinct from the rest of Spain.
Our Family Estate has a total of 260 Ha. of vineyards that aged from 15, 31 and 75 years old. During the last 35 years, we have been awarded with more than 100 Medals and publications. Monjardín’s vineyards lie on sunny slopes at an average altitude of 1800 feet, and are cooled by the “Cierzo” wind.
Our Philosophy: The winemaking skills of owner and winemaker Victor Del Villar yield wines of singularly intense aroma, full flavor and firm structure. All wines are made with grapes from our Estate vineyards; fermentation is controlled and wines are aged in French and American oak. Our best practices of traditional winemaking methods with a twist of innovation in order to make high quality wines that complement Mediterranean cuisine and represent the terroir of our Estates Vineyard while making Monjardin Wines among the most popular from Spain. We are the unique winery in the North Spain authorized to make Pinot Noire wine due to the special microclimate on the parcel near to our home place.
