Nossos pais e avós sabiam que sozinhos não poderiam alcançar grandes coisas, mas juntos poderiam. Então, em um belo dia, lá em 1962, eles tiveram a ideia brilhante de unir seus vinhedos e tornar seu sonho realidade: criar uma cooperativa para produzir seus próprios vinhos. E assim começou nossa história. No coração da D.O.Ca. Rioja, Sonsierra é a região historicamente conhecida por seus vinhos famosos e sua qualidade. Com um microclima e terroir únicos, é uma área onde a uva Tempranillo se comporta de forma excepcional. O cultivo da uva aqui é quase um monocultivo e um modo de vida. Após várias gerações cultivando nossos próprios vinhedos com práticas aperfeiçoadas ao longo do tempo, conseguimos criar vinhos autênticos com uma identidade única, um reflexo fiel da paisagem e da centenária tradição vinícola de nosso território. Em Sonsierra, fomos a primeira cooperativa em Rioja a comercializar vinhos engarrafados e a focar na qualidade e singularidade dos vinhedos excepcionais na subzona de Rioja Alta, sendo pioneiros na indicação dessa origem em nossos rótulos. O espírito de inovação é uma de nossas marcas registradas e, hoje, continua com projetos como o vinho Perfume de Sonsierra, que revolucionou a indústria, ou nosso novo projeto de Viñedos Singulares, uma vinícola experimental para a produção de Viñedos Singulares e vinhos de alta expressão. Esse compromisso com a qualidade e inovação nos rendeu reconhecimentos significativos, como ser nomeados ‘Cooperativa do Ano’ duas vezes (2019 e 2021) pelo crítico de vinhos e Mestre de Vinho, Tim Atkin, em seu relatório anual sobre Rioja.

Our parents and grandparents knew that they couldn’t achieve great things alone, but together they could. So, one fine day back in 1962, they came up with the brilliant idea of pooling their vineyards and making their dream come true: creating a cooperative to produce their own wines. And that’s how our story began. In the heart of the D.O.Ca. Rioja, Sonsierra is a region historically known for its renowned wines and their quality. With a unique microclimate and terroir, it’s an area where the Tempranillo grape behaves exceptionally. Grape cultivation here is almost a monoculture and a way of life. After several generations of cultivating our own vineyards with practices perfected over time, we have managed to create authentic wines with a unique identity, a faithful reflection of the landscape and the century-old winemaking tradition of our territory. In Sonsierra, we were the first cooperative in Rioja to market bottled wines and to focus on the quality and singularity of the exceptional vineyards in the subzone of Rioja Alta, pioneering the indication of this origin on our labels. The spirit of innovation is one of our hallmarks, and today, it continues with projects like the Perfume de Sonsierra wine, which has revolutionized the industry, or our new project of Viñedos Singulares, an experimental winery for the production of Viñedos Singulares and high-expression wines. This commitment to quality and innovation has earned us significant recognition, such as being named ‘Cooperative of the Year’ twice (2019 and 2021) by wine critic and Master of Wine, Tim Atkin, in his annual report on Rioja.
