História: Em 1976, um grupo de amigos, percebendo o potencial da região da Serra Gaúcha na produção de vinhos, resolveu fundar em sociedade uma empresa vinícola. Em 1986 o grupo italiano Cinzano adquire a empresa, e em 1987 altera o seu nome para Courmayeur, em homenagem às suas origens. O ano de 2003 marca o início da história atual da empresa. A Família Nicolini Verzeletti, que já participava da sociedade desde 1990, assume integralmente a gestão da empresa, e dá início ao projeto atual da Courmayeur. Apostando na inovação, em 2008, a Courmayeur propõe a ideia de “Celebrar o Novo”, especializando-se no segmento de espumantes pelo método charmat. A Courmayeur – espumantes e vinhos é uma empresa familiar, contemporânea, que alia à tradição com a modernidade, buscando na experiência do passado a inspiração para o futuro. 1.1 Capacidade produtiva Capacidade produtiva de aproximadamente 650 mil litros, totalizando 72 tanques entre tanques fermentadores e tanques de estocagem. Dentre as variedades vinificadas estão a Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, Riesling, Prosecco, Moscatos, Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Lambrusco, Lorena, Marselan e Ancellotta. Sendo que a Courmayeur possui vinhedos próprios correspondendo por 30% da produção, os demais são produtores parceiros as Serra Gaúcha e com acompanhamento da nossa equipe técnica.

1.2 História da Família Natural de Garibaldi, Serra Gaúcha – RS, a família Nicolini Verzeletti, descendente de italianos originários da região do Vêneto que migraram para o Brasil por volta de 1876, sempre manteve o gosto pela cultura do vinho. Em 1931, o bisavô da atual geração, Leonel Nicolini, foi um dos responsáveis pela fundação e primeiro presidente de uma das principais cooperativas vinícolas da região. Em 2003, a família Nicolini Verzeletti, já ligada ao mundo vinícola, adquire a Courmayeur para dar continuidade a sua história!

O nome Courmayeur (pronúncia italiana [kurmaˈjɛr] ou [kurmaˈjør]) Courmayeur é o nome de uma comuna italiana localizada na região do Valle D’Aosta. Situa-se no Norte da Itália, na divisa com o território francês, tradicionalmente conhecido por suas estações de esqui. Situada na base do Monte Branco, é a maior comuna da região e também a mais alta, com 1224 metros de altitude. Por isso seu nome, que deriva do latim Curia Maior, mais alto cume da cadeia de montanhas. No ano de 1987, o grupo italiano que adquire a empresa, altera o seu nome para Courmayeur, em homenagem às suas origens. E nessa junção de culturas, a Courmayeur segue hoje elaborando espumantes e vinhos finos de qualidade, que aliam a tradição da cultura com a modernidade e jovialidade do Novo Mundo.

 History: In 1976, a group of friends, realizing the potential of the region of Serra Gaúcha in the production of wines, decided to found in society a wine company. In 1986, the Italian group Cinzano acquires the company, and in 1987 it changes its name to Courmayeur, in homage to its origins. The year 2003 marks the beginning of the current history of the company. The Nicolini Verzeletti Family, that already participated of the society since 1990, assumes integrally the management of the company, and starts the current Courmayeur’s project. Betting on the innovation, in 2008, Courmayeur proposes the idea of “Celebrate the New”, specializing itself in the segment of sparkling wines by charmat method. 1.2 Family History Natural of Garibaldi, Serra Gaúcha – RS, Nicolini Verzeletti family, descendant of Italians from the Veneto region who migrated to Brazil around 1876, always kept the taste for wine culture. The name Courmayeur (Italian pronunciation [kurmaˈjɛr] or [kurmaˈjør]) Courmayeur is the name of an Italian commune located in the Valle D’Aosta region. It is located in northern Italy, on the border with French territory, traditionally known for its ski resorts. Situated at the base of Mont Blanc, it is the largest commune in the region and also the highest, with an altitude of 1224 meters. Hence its name, which derives from the Latin Curia Maior, highest peak of the mountain range. In 1987, the Italian group that acquired the company changed its name to Courmayeur, in honor of its origins.
