A Viña Tinajas del Maule nasceu em 1997, quando a família Mena Undurraga adquiriu antigos vinhedos na localidade de Villa Alegre, na região do Maule. A ideia inicial foi fortalecer as vinhas existentes desde 1918 e aproveitar o grande potencial da zona. Assim, às adegas de adobe e às barricas de carvalho foram incorporados os benefícios do aço inoxidável e da tecnologia de ponta.
Atualmente a vinícola conta com uma adega de mais de três milhões de litros de capacidade e vinhedos equivalentes a 300 hectares, plantados com seis castas finas: Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Pinot Noir, Carménère, Sauvignon Blanc e Chardonnay.
