A SHABO é uma vinícola familiar da família Iukuridze, fundada sobre mais de 200 anos de tradição vitivinícola. A história da empresa remonta a 1822, quando vinicultores suíços percorreram mais de 2.500 km para fundar a aldeia vinícola de Shabo às margens do Estuário do Dniester. Em 2003, a família Iukuridze uniu seu legado à SHABO com o objetivo de elevar a Ucrânia ao cenário global da vitivinicultura e criar os primeiros grandes vinhos do país. Hoje, a SHABO é composta por três casas especializadas: SHABO Wine House, SHABO Sparkling Wine House e SHABO Brandy House. Os vinhos e destilados da SHABO já receberam mais de 600 prêmios em importantes competições internacionais, entre elas Decanter World Wine Awards, IWC, Mundus Vini, Berliner Wein Trophy e London Wine Competition. A SHABO cultiva mais de 20 variedades de uva, com atenção individualizada a cada uma delas, sendo a maioria adquirida nos melhores viveiros da França, Itália e Geórgia. Em 2012, a SHABO tornou-se a primeira e única vinícola da Ucrânia a receber o status de denominação de origem controlada — equivalente ao AOC.
SHABO is a family-owned winery belonging to the Iukuridze family, built on more than 200 years of winemaking tradition. The company’s history begins in 1822, when Swiss winemakers traveled over 2,500 km to establish the wine village of Shabo on the shores of the Dniester Estuary. In 2003, the Iukuridze family intertwined their heritage with SHABO, setting out to elevate Ukraine to the global stage of winemaking and to create the country’s first truly great wines. Today, SHABO comprises three specialized houses: SHABO Wine House, SHABO Sparkling Wine House, and SHABO Brandy House. SHABO wines and spirits have received over 600 awards at major international competitions, including the Decanter World Wine Awards, IWC, Mundus Vini, Berliner Wein Trophy, and London Wine Competition. SHABO grows more than 20 grape varieties, applying an individual approach to each one, with most vines sourced from the finest nurseries in France, Italy, and Georgia. In 2012, SHABO became the first and only winery in Ukraine to receive the status of controlled designation of origin, the equivalent of AOC.
