A Adega Fernão Pó é uma empresa familiar de Fernando Pó, concelho de Palmela, resultado da junção das famílias Freitas e Palhoça. Ligadas à viticultura e à produção de vinho há gerações, reúnem dois ramos da história vinícola de Fernando Pó: os Freitas, antigos proprietários da região, e os Palhoças, descendentes da cultura “caramela”, vindos do norte de Portugal e estabelecidos nos “Foros” da região.
Nos anos 50, Aníbal da Silva Freitas fundou a adega. Em 1990 foi lançado o primeiro vinho de marca própria.
Adega Fernão Pó is a family business from Fernando Pó, in the municipality of Palmela, born from the union of the Freitas and Palhoça families. Connected to viticulture and winemaking for generations, they bring together two branches of Fernando Pó's wine history: the Freitas, long-standing landowners in the region, and the Palhoças, descendants of the “caramela” culture who came from northern Portugal and settled in the region's “Foros”.
In the 1950s, Aníbal da Silva Freitas founded the winery. In 1990 the first own-label wine was released.
